ProTaper nickel-titanium machine tools have been specially designed for the preparation of difficult, calcified and significantly curved root canals. The gradually increasing diameter of the tools and the modern design of the edges ensure flexibility and effective cleaning and shaping of the root canals.

Active cutting angle
A unique feature of the construction of ProTaper tools is the cross-sectional shape, the so-called a convex triangle that provides a reduced contact area between the instrument and the dentin. Increased dentin cutting efficiency is achieved by balancing the pitch of the groove spiral with the angle of the groove spiral in the design of the tools.

ProTaper tools effectively remove dentin remnants from the canal lumen and basically only three instruments are needed to obtain the correct, conical shape of the canal along its entire length.

Multiple and gradual expansion from 2 to 19%.
A tool with gradual expansion contacts the dentin over a shorter distance during operation, which reduces its rotational load, material fatigue and the risk of fracture.
