Defense Against Fluctuating Clinical Conditions

Zipbond universal is a single component, fluoride releasing, light curing universal bonding system that can be used in self etch, selective etch and total etch techniques. Zipbond Universal provides a uniform and reliable strong connection in every clinical situation related to the type of cavity and the method of restoration.

Indications:

Direct Application:

  • Reconstruction with the use of light-cured composites.
  • Reconstruction with the use of light-cured compomers.
  • Application to the cavity prior to cementation of indirect restorations.
  • Composite repairs of porcelain works and hybrid ceramics. Coating of exposed root surfaces showing hypersensitivity.
  • Core reconstruction with the use of light-cured or dual-bond composites.
  • As a protective varnish for fillings with glass ionomer (GI) cements

Indirect Use:

  • Cementation of indirect restorations

Features and Benefits:

  • Exceptional Control
Thanks to the use of nanofillers, a material was obtained that is easy to apply, creating an optimal layer with increased bond strength. Zipbond is easy to apply forming a uniform thin layer. This enables precise cementation of intermediate works.
  • High Aesthetics
The bonding system is visible after application and becomes practically invisible after light curing. The agent is ideal for use in the aesthetic zone after bleaching and in combination with translucent materials.
  • Nice smell
Zipbond Universal has a pleasant, gentle fragrance for the patient.
  • Fluoride release
"The main cause of failure of medium and large composite restorations is secondary caries at the margins of the restoration." By releasing fluoride, Zipbond Universal protects against demineralization at the tooth-restoration interface. A highly effective bonding system that protects against decay and gives a permanent restoration.

Uniform Bonding Strength

Zipbond Universal provides reliable strong bonding to dentin and enamel in self-etch and total etch techniques.

The best option to use the total etch technique is to prepare the cavity only in the enamel area. Zipbond Universal exhibits minimal variation in bond strength to enamel in the Total Etch technique, ensuring predictable results with each use.

Due to the heterogeneous structure of the dentin, the variable mineralization and water content, it is a challenge to obtain a good bond between the bonding systems and the dentin. The carefully selected chemistry of Zipbond Universal overcomes the difficulties of dentin adhesion and provides a strong and predictable bond for self-etch and total etch techniques.

Choose Zipbond Universal for permanent adhesion, predictable clinical results and confidence in a stable bond between the filling and the tooth tissue.

Binding to dry and moist dentin

The varying degree of dentine surface moisture may affect the bond strength. Zipbond Universal provides a similar bond strength when applied to dry or wet dentin, reducing the possibility of error.

Even when the dentin has been dried out, Zipbond Universal will form a hybrid layer, guaranteeing a strong bond.

Predictable Bonding Strength For Indirect Restorations

Zipbond Universal offers high bond strength to composite, ceramic and metal restorations. The bond strength is comparable for all types of intermediate restorations, giving reliable adhesion in all clinical situations mentioned. Zipbond Universal can be used with confidence for your doctor's preferred indirect fillings.

Binding Monomer Combination

Zipbond Universal contains two complementary adhesive monomers that ensure a permanent and strong bond. The patented combination of monomers, including MDP monomer, connects to enamel, dentin and various types of intermediate restorations.

Monomers contain hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups. Hydrophilic monomers quickly infiltrate enamel and dentinal tubules. To obtain effective lubrication, the bond should be evenly distributed over the entire surface of the tooth, allowing the bonding system to penetrate into the dentinal tubules.
