Brilliant New Generation
One syringe of the optimally adapted Brilliant NG shade system corresponds to two shades according to the Vita shade guide. Brilliant NG can be hardened with halogen light or a diode lamp directly in the defect, or outside the defect, e.g. on a model.
Brilliant NG is indicated directly for filling class I, II, III, IV and V cavities, for repairing composite and ceramic veneers, blocking undercuts, and adhesive cementing of ceramic and composite restorations.
Dentin shades are used to rebuild dentin and fill class V cavities. Enamel shades are used to directly fill cavities and as transparent materials in the layering technique. The Bleach shade is used to fill whitened and milk teeth, for characterization (white spots) and to mask discolorations. The Transparent shade is a top layer for all cavities, incisal reconstruction, shape and color correction, and is used as a more transparent material in layering techniques.
Substances containing eugenol and clove oil may affect the polymerization process of Brilliant NG. It should not be used with zinc-eugenol oxide cements. Discoloration may occur as a result of the use of cationic mouthwashes, plaque-indicating fluids and chlorhexidrine.
